Cloudflare
Our hosting provider 1&1 IONOS SE uses the CDN service of Cloudflare Inc. ("Cloudflare"), 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, California 94107, USA, to make our website faster and more secure. A Content Delivery Network (CDN), as provided by Cloudflare, is a network of servers connected over the Internet to deliver websites to users' screens faster. In simple terms, Cloudflare creates copies of our Smart Calculator files and places them on its own servers. When the smart calculators are called up, the system ensures that they are delivered by the server that can display the smart calculators the fastest. Thus, the smart computers are not only delivered by Cloudflare from our hosting server at 1&1, but from servers all over the world. The Cloudflare servers, like 1&1 IONOS SE, also store server log files. Cloudflare processes this data as part of the services in compliance with the applicable laws. This of course also includes the German Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO).
JavaScript libraries
JavaScript libraries are used in this website to display some elements and for certain interactive functions, which are downloaded by the browser as a separate file. These JavaScript libraries are very widespread and are used by many websites on the Internet. Therefore we have not stored these libraries on our server, but use identical files from a Content Delivery Network (CDN). This makes the pages load faster from smart machines, because most websites that use the same JavaScript libraries also use the same CDN. This means that your browser does not have to reload the corresponding JavaScript libraries if you have previously visited websites that have already loaded the same library and thus cached it in your browser. This is a great advantage, especially when accessing websites with mobile devices.
However, the integration of JavaScript libraries via a CDN results in data being retrieved from a server of the CDN operator when the website is called, so that this server or its operator at least obtains knowledge of your IP address.
