Using the Roman date calculator, you can calculate a Roman date from any date. For example, you can calculate an important birth date tattoo in Roman numerals or write a fancy birthday greeting.
Here, the day, month and year of any date, e.g., a date of birth, are converted into Roman numerals. The day, month and year converted in this way are then put together again to form a date consisting of Roman numerals only. The days and months are converted without a leading zero, as there is no zero in Roman numerals. The representation of a date is therefore generated from the date with Roman numerals.
However, the conversion of a date into a Roman date presented here has nothing to do with the ancient Roman calendar. The Roman calendar of that time was in turn composed of several other ancient calendars, and the representation of a date was quite different from the date representation in today's Gregorian calendar.
More about the Roman numerals
You can find more details about Roman numerals and their rules in our topic area on Roman Numerals. Using the rules, it is then quite easy to translate days, months and years yourself. The calculator above and the corresponding tables below will help you to quickly represent a date in Roman numerals.
The calculator converts any date into a date with Roman numerals. Only one entry is required, namely the desired date to be converted into Roman numerals. The current date is always preset in this date field.
Instead of using the calculator to calculate a Roman date, you can also use the following tables to convert a date into Roman numerals. Using the tables, you can convert the date into Roman numerals step by step, i.e., for the day, the month and the year of the desired date, and finally compile it into a date in Roman characters.
